Quilchena has always been anchored by the magnificent area known as Quilchena Park. The park was originally 40 acres in size and owned by CPR who leased it to the original Quilchena Golf Club. In 1956, this lease expired and the Park Board purchased the eastern area of the park while the western portion became Prince of Wales Secondary School.
